Using its first-party ticket sales data to date for the 25/26 season of the Premier League – which kicks off today (Friday 15th August) – the team at online ticketing platform 1Boxoffice.com has shared which teams are most ‘in-demand’ for football fans looking to secure tickets.
Based on insights from demand in recent weeks (pre-season) for the 25/26 season, the expert sales team at 1Boxoffice.com revealed that: “Currently, Liverpool and Arsenal home fixtures are very much in demand for the 25/26 season. However, out of the 380 fixtures in the season, the game that is most in demand at the moment is the Manchester United VS Arsenal, which is scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday 17th August”.
Last season, Arsenal were the most in-demand team for fans looking to secure tickets, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City making up the top five. West Ham United, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa also featured in the top ten.
For fans hoping to secure Premier League tickets for this season’s fixtures, the expert sales team shared the following advice: “It is always ideal to buy tickets early as the ticket prices usually go up as you move closer to the matches. Interestingly, ticket prices have also spiked following Manchester United’s recent signings, showing that interest and excitement is growing ahead of the new season.
“Also, our historical data also indicates that customers who purchase tickets early are most likely to save up to 50% of the price that they would have to pay for the tickets closer to the match dates. However, we do sell tickets right up until the match kick off, so in some cases even last-minute entrance to games can be catered for”.
When looking for affordable tickets, the team shared that seat selection is key – the team added that “in terms of pricing, seats on the lower long-side are generally the most expensive as they are closer to the action and have a better overall of the game, while the upper short-side (located at a higher perspective behind the goals) tends to be the most affordable. While the view of the field may be less comprehensive, the short side is known for a more exciting atmosphere, especially during goal-scoring moments. These sections are typically the most energetic and filled with passionate fans”.
The expert sales team added: “For the ultimate experience, you may want to consider VIP hospitality tickets. These seats not only provide some of the best visibility in the stadium, but they also come with added luxuries. VIP tickets are often located between the upper and lower sections on the long side, but this varies by stadium. VIP tickets may also include access to a private lounge where you can enjoy refreshments before, during, and after the game. VIP packages on 1BoxOffice will detail exactly what’s included in the ticket price”.
The 25/26 season of the Premier League will run between Friday 15th August 2025 and Sunday 24th May 2026.
