Cameron Mooney, born 26 September 1979, is a highly regarded former Australian rules footballer. He played as a key forward for the Geelong Cats, notably during their dominant years between the mid-2000s and early 2010s. The Geelong sides of this era have been rated among the AFL’s greatest teams ever. Mooney, also known as the “big hairy cat”, shared the field with two of the top 10 AFL players of all time: Gary Ablett Jnr and Matthew Scarlett. Additionally, his talents were displayed in the AFL Hall of Fame Tribute Match.
